The Socorro Chile Harvest Triathlon has been running for 25+ years!! This race is a 400 m swim in the City of Socorro pool, with a 20 km bike ride through Socorro and New Mexico Tech campus, ending with a relatively flat 5 km run through residential parts of town. The race is well supported by many happy volunteers, and completely organized and run by a local club, Socorro Striders and Riders.
Taos Up & Over 10K and Vertical Challenge is notoriously challenging with many runners returning year-after-year to beat their PBs. There are many groups that run together; friends, co-workers, and whole families who want to take on the mountain. The course is a formidable and scenic 2,612’ climb from 9,321′ at the base, topping out at 11,819′. Expect amazing views of Kachina and Wheeler Peaks, followed by a technical descent through high alpine terrain.
The Philmont Trail Race supports Philmont Scout Ranch and the Boy Scouts of America in providing its mission to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oat and Law. Proceeds from the race benefit Philmont Scout Ranch.
Join us on August 11, 2024 for the Lovelace Rio Grande Half Marathon and 5k, New Mexico's premier half marathon. This race runs through the beautiful Albuquerque Bosque complete with views of the Rio Grande, beautiful Bosque cottonwood forest, mighty Sandia Mountains, and expansive New Mexico skies.
. This Sprint Triathlon is proudly brought to you by the Gunnison Parks & Recreation Department. It begins with a 500yard swim (10 laps) at the Community & Aquatics Center, then continues with a 23K (14.5-mile) bike course, and wraps up with a 6.4K (4-mile) run that finishes at the Community Center.

The Silent Wings Museum provides the perfect backdrop to “imagine” your run taking you out of this world. Willie McCool was the Pilot of the Space Shuttle Columbia (January – February 2003), a graduate of Lubbock’s Coronado High School (1979) and loved running. His legacy will inspire runners, both old and new and we are proud and honored to dedicate this race to his memory.
In 2024, we are excited to host the half marathon and marathon distances and a new and exciting half marathon option! The trail marathon and new half marathon(1) distance will take you to Kachina Peak at 12,481ft then you will continue on to the half marathon(2) course where you will climb Fraser Peak at 12,168ft! You will span the entire Taos Ski Valley on this course, truly giving you some much deserved trail-cred! T
Tour de Acoma is a 100, 50, and 25-mile cycling event covering distinct and breathtaking scenery on the Acoma Pueblo Reservation. The all paved course offers both the experienced and recreational cyclist a rare opportunity to ride through competitive and challenging race routes. This spectacular and enjoyable event is definitely one to consider.
